A traffic stop by a Coweta County deputy early last Saturday morning, September 2th, on I-85 lead to the arrest of a former Chattahoochee Tech Campus Police (CTCP) officer after he identified himself as a current member of the agency. Michael Newsome was found in possession of a badge, ballistics vest, and other items belonging to the CTCP and that he'd failed to turn in after his departure from the agency in July of this year.

A Peachtree City man was arrested by Newnan Police Department units Sunday evening after responding to a dispute near the Tesla Chargers in the Target Parking Lot. The dispute was witnessed by a passerby who called and reported it to E911.

On Friday, August 21st, E911 was notified by an individual that they'd located what they believed to be human bones in a wooded area off Ashley Park Blvd in Newnan. Units with the Newnan Police Department were dispatched to the location where they met the reporting party and were taken to what the bones that were located in what is described in the report as a "campsite".
