CCSO Provides Update on Herring Rd Home Invasion [Video] – Published August 6th, 2025
E911 call leads to spicy game of hide and seek
Just before 1:30 AM this morning, August 5th, 2025, Coweta County E911 received a call from a resident in the area of Herring Rd and Beasley St stating that there were men in the living room of his house and that he’d locked himself in his bedroom. As multiple units quickly started their response to the location, the caller was able provide further details regarding the suspect.
Within minutes of being dispatched numerous CCSO Deputies quietly arrived at the location where they quickly geared up and with dispatch still on the phone with the caller, made entry into the house where they located and extracted the victim to safety.
Units then began clearing the house searching for the suspect described by the victim. While checking rooms, a Deputy attempted opening a door that was quickly forcibly shut on him and locked. Units would hold coverage on the room as additional units responded and a plan was developed.
A short time later Deputies forced entry into the room the suspect was located in and using pepper balls and a taser were able to secure the suspect,
EMS was dispatched to the scene to treat the suspect for a taser deployment and pepper ball effects. CCFR was dispatched to help ventilate the structure and help clear out the pepper ball irritant.
Evidence was found of forced entry into the residence.
