Be On the Look Out Leads to Discovery of Suspect Vehicle

Just after 10 PM last night, Coweta County E911 received a BOLO from the Auburn Police Department in Alabama regarding a suspect vehicle and suspect believed to be traveling north on I-85 after a reported stabbing.

The BOLO was relayed to units of all local law enforcement agencies and a short time later a patrol deputy with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office informed dispatch that he’d located the vehicle at the BP Gas Station on South Highway 29 / Exit 41. As the deputy waited for additional units to make it to the area, the suspect vehicle exited the BP parking lot taking a left onto South Hwy 29 at a very low speed. The suspect then took a right onto East Highway 16 and began heading east, again at a very low rate of speed.

As the suspect vehicle and deputy passed Gordon Rd, additional deputies arrived and deputies activated their lights attempting to perform a traffic stop. The suspect vehicle continued down the road at a very low speed before stopping near the intersection of George Hill Rd. When deputies detained the suspect, they immediately requested EMS respond to the scene as the suspect was reportedly suffering from stab wounds and lacerations that required units to apply torniquets to the suspect.

CCFR EMS responded to the scene and were able to stabilize the suspect in order to transport him to an Atlanta area Hosptial.
