Six Arrested in Wake of Snowfinch Lane Shooting
Shooting was the result of an armed robbery.

The Shooting

Just before 9 PM on April 25th, 2025, E911 received a call from a residence on Snowfinch Lane in Newnan reporting that a male victim had been shot.

Units with both the Newnan Police Department, as well as nearby units with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office quickly responded to the scene. Dispatch had been able to confirm with the caller that there were numerous people located within the residence and at least one was armed. When units arrived they came in contact with a male outside of the house who was detained. Units then secured the house, calling all the individuals out of the house where they were then detained.

With everyone on scene detained and the scene secured, units were able to make entry into the residence where they located a male with a gun shot wound to his side. EMS responded and were able to stabilize the victim before transporting him to Grady Hospital in Atlanta.

Records show that at least 4 witnesses that had been inside the residence during the shooting were transported to the Newnan Police Department for questioning as part of the investigation while officers secured the crime scene at the residence.

Records further indicate that just before 1 AM on April 26th, 2025 a BE ON THE LOOK OUT was released to units with the CCSO and surrounding agencies for a suspect vehicle that was believed to have left the scene immediately after the shooting before heading north on the interstate.

Just before 2 AM the Newnan Police Department released a press release regarding the shooting.

Suspects Arrested for Armed Robbery

Records show that three suspects were arrested on April 30th, 2025 for multiple charges including Armed Robbery, which seems to be the motive for the shooting. According to booking records all three suspects reside at the same residence in Fairburn. Cedarious and Christopher Greenway are believed to be brothers.

Cedarious Truitt Greenway, 23

Christopher Truitt Greenway, 21

Residents, Including the Victim, Arrested on Drug and Firearms Charges

Records show that three additional individuals, including the victim, Avery Ahmad Anderson, were arrested on May 1st, 2025. All three indicated in their booking records they reside at the Snowfinch Ln residence and all three are believed to be related, though their exact relation is unconfirmed.
